Update 20 ·

New AI chat with interactive previews and a new app design

Over the past few months you've sent us loads of messages, ideas and bug reports. This update is our answer. We wanted diStudero to be genuinely fun to use: an AI that doesn't just explain the material but shows it to you, and an app where everything is easy to find at a glance. It's our biggest step in that direction yet.

New

An AI chat that doesn't just explain. It shows.

Some things only click once you try them yourself. That's why the new AI chat can build an interactive preview right inside its answer, such as a simulation or a graph you can play with until it makes sense. You'll find it in every folder, ready whenever you get stuck.

Twelve assistants in one window

Text explainer, Paraphraser, Presentation helper, Email text creator and more. You can switch between them mid-conversation, and every answer shows which one wrote it.

More room for your questions

A single message now fits six times more text, and the chat remembers conversations twice as long, so you don't have to repeat yourself.

Speaks your language

Write in English, Czech, Polish or Spanish and you'll get the answer in the same language.

Improved

A new design. Less clutter, more learning.

When it's time to study, you don't want to waste it hunting for things. So we redrew diStudero from the ground up and gave it brand-new icons. Every type of space has its own colour and 3D icon, so you can tell a quiz from flashcards before you've even read the name. Buttons really press down under your finger, and everything works the same way whether you're in a quiz, your flashcards or settings. An app you'll enjoy opening, even on days you don't feel like studying.

  • New, clearer icons across the app
  • Colourful spaces with 3D icons you recognise at a glance
  • Space filter: show only your quizzes, even in a full folder
  • A clearer folder panel
  • Easier browsing of flashcard decks and quizzes
  • A gentler dark mode with better-separated panels
  • Clear credits: see exactly how many you get, bonus included
Improved

Flashcards that feel like the real thing.

Flashcards are the heart of the app, so we gave them the care they deserve. They now flip in 3D, as if you were holding a real card, and you rate them with big colourful buttons you can hit even on a packed bus.

New

diStudero is now much easier to use on your phone.

Lots of you study on your phone: on the bus, between lectures or in bed at night. So we've reworked the mobile version of diStudero to be even more comfortable to use with one hand. At the bottom you'll now find a new bar with three buttons, Home, Folders and Settings, so everything important is within reach of your thumb.

And that's not all.

A farm that keeps track of time

The study companion farm has a new landscape that changes with the time of day, plus a countdown clock. The prettiest study screen we've ever made.

¡Hola! diStudero now speaks Spanish

The app is now available in Spanish too, alongside English, Czech and Polish. Send the link to classmates from abroad and study together.

Plus lots of smaller improvements across the whole app.

Frequently asked questions about update 20

Do I need to do anything to get the new design?

Nothing at all. The update is already live for everyone, just refresh the page. If you've installed diStudero on your phone, close it and open it again. Your folders, flashcards, quizzes, mind maps and notes are exactly as you left them.

Where do I find the new AI chat?

In every folder, in the side panel under AI Chat. On mobile, tap the Folders button in the bottom bar. You no longer have to create chat spaces, and they don't take up room in your folder. We've moved your earlier chats over and old links still work.

What is an interactive preview in the AI chat?

It's a small working app right inside the answer, such as a simulation or an interactive graph. The AI creates one on its own when it suits the topic, or when you ask for it, for example "show me this as a simulation". Because it's generated by AI, double-check important information.

Everything from update 20 is already in the app.

Open a folder, ask the AI chat about whatever you're stuck on, and let it show you. You'll see the difference.
